The Mallee Inn is located in the Sunraysia region of Australia – a name that sprang from Sun-Raysed, which was used in a competition to describe the dried fruit grown in the area.
A thriving agricultural centre, the Sunraysia district produces nearly all of the nation’s dried vine fruit and table grapes. The region also produces a large part of Australia’s pistachio, almond and citrus crops.
